Description
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is an analytical technique for separating and quantifying components in a mixture. It uses a liquid mobile phase to flow a sample through a tube called a column, and each component exits the column at a different time depending on how much it interacts with the stationary phase in the column. This time is called the retention time, and it can be used to identify and quantify the components. It is widely used for ingredient analysis in a variety of fields, including chemical, pharmaceutical, food, environmental, and more.
